Graphite Anode Material Production Automation Solutions

With the rapid development of new energy industry, graphite is widely used as anode material for lithium ion battery, because its conductivity is significantly better than other non-metallic materials.

1. System Configuration Scheme

The system mainly adopts layer network structure, including management network, control layer network and fieldbus network.

1.1. The management network realizes the coordination control and data communication between different units or production workshops, facilitates the management and data communication of enterprises, and realizes the coordination control and scheduling management among subsystems of large industrial processes.

1.2. The control layer network is connected to the operation station and the on-site control station to realize the data exchange between the operation station and the control station and maintain data consistency. Operation station and control station are connected with optical fiber communication to increase data transmission rate and quality.

1.3 Fieldbus network is through MODBUS485 communication and I/O signal transmission, to achieve the signal transmission between the main control station and field instruments, frequency converters, and between the internal I/O modules of the control station and the field power cabinet.

Communication system is responsible for the transfer of process variables, control commands, configuration information and other tasks.

2. System Control Scheme

2.1 Grinding Self-Circulation and Automatic Feeding System

A grinding production line consists of at least 20 grinding units, each of which contains multiple control motors and sensors. By monitoring the running current of the sensor and the motor, the linkage between the motor valves is realized, and the self-circulation production of the grinding machine is realized by precise linkage control. Automatic feeding system ensures the simultaneous production of 20 groups of Grinding & Shaping System, greatly improving the production efficiency.

2.2. One-Button Smooth Stop, Smooth Start and Fault Stop System For Grinding Powder

Through current monitoring on production status, through real-time adjustment of each frequency converter motor frequency, to strictly control the size of grinding particles, through the above control mode to achieve automatic production, to ensure the quality of grinding, improve production efficiency, and greatly save manpower.

2.3 Particle Separation and Collection System and Mixing System

By adjusting the external classification motor frequency, the material out of the grinding is divided into three grades from coarse to fine, and then in accordance with customer requirements in accordance with the strict proportion control, the first, second and third grade materials for mixed treatment, after passing the test for packaging.

In the control process of graphite production, the particle size is the most important index. Through the professional automation control program, the motor start and stop and frequency control in the whole system, a large number of motor current, pressure, temperature signals and grinding time for real-time monitoring and interlocking control, realize the full automatic production of graphite anode materials, improve the production efficiency, ensure the production quality.
